  • Overview

    Planview is looking for a versatile Instructional Designer to join our Customer Experience team, with a primary focus on our Planview Enterprise One - Portfolio and Resource Management software product. E1 PRM is Planview's flagship product. 


    The Instructional Designer will be responsible for producing end-user focused help articles, e-learning videos, and instructor-led training materials that contribute to the overall success of our customers for E1 PRM and other software products. You will work with other content creators on the Customer Experience team to maintain, improve, and add to the user-facing content in the Planview Customer Success Center, and also work with software developers and product managers to translate information about the new features we're shipping into useful, accessible content.

     

    Who We Want

    • A tech-savvy user who is comfortable exploring enterprise software. You’ll be expected to interact independently with complex software to see how it works. We encourage hands-on learning in a supportive team environment.
    • A strong writer with the ability to write both formally and informally. Our subject matter ranges from highly detailed administrative tasks to simple end-user interactions, and the tone of our modules shifts accordingly.
    • An independent researcher who can draw from many sources. We want our content to be informative, but also interesting! We rely on existing training materials, help articles, SMEs, and our own hands-on product knowledge to present complex concepts in fresh, engaging ways.
    • An articulate speaker comfortable narrating audio. We do our own e-learning narration, and look for both writing and speaking skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and update help articles for the Planview Customer Success Center
    • Create and update e-learning videos for E1 PRM and other Planview software products
    • Create and update self-paced and instructor-led training content for E1 PRM and other Planview software products
    • Collaborate with other instructional designers, e-learning developers, and technical writers in the Customer Experience team to continuously advance the quality and relevance of the Planview Customer Success Center website and content

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS degree
    • 3+ years creating help articles, e-learning, and/or training materials for enterprise software
    • Experience with LMS and e-learning production tools (Camtasia, Audacity, Storyline, Captivate)
    • Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle and lean/agile methodology
    • Previous technical writing experience required
