  • Overview

    Planview is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support the rapid growth in the company. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, this Senior Analyst will be an integral part of the finance team and a trusted partner for the Professional Services organization. The ideal candidate will be analytical, critical, view problems as opportunities to develop solutions and possess strong communication skills. This role is an opportunity for the right candidate to leverage the experience and skills they’ve gained to date and to expand those at a high growth global enterprise software company looking to scale to >$200 million in revenue.


    • Core responsibilities include planning, analysis and reporting
      • Lead annual operating planning process and update monthly forecasts
      • Perform variance analysis against budget and forecast
      • Build and maintain monthly management reporting/KPIs and Board reporting
    • Partner with business functions to track key metrics and support on all parts of the P&L
    • Collaborate across functional teams (Business operations, Accounting) to track Revenue and Expenses and support cross functional project initiatives
    • Build and manage financial models for business forecasting and variance analysis
    • Work with various data elements, both financial and non-financial (i.e. headcount, bookings, renewals, Billable Utilization, Realized rates, other stats)
    • Support operational scaling with automation, simplification and standardization of processes, both sales and financial
    • Ensure timely and accurate metrics are created and forecasted


    • At least 5+ years experience in Finance
    • At least 2+ years in the Software industry is required
    • Ability to think at both strategic and implementation level, with eye towards continuous improvement of finance and operational processes
    • Experience in business partnering, including ability to persuade with data
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
    • Self-starter, Independent worker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and solve problems
    • High analytical acumen with advanced Excel skills are a must
    • Experience with SFDC, NetSuite, Adaptive Insights and/or other Financial Planning software preferred
    • MBA a plus
