  • Overview

    The Sr. Network Engineer should have a CCNP level skillset and will work in a comfortable environment as a member of the Infrastructure Team at a software development company. Candidates should have a strong level knowledge of Cisco networking and VMware virtualization products. Finally, the ideal candidate must have a desire to learn new concepts and continue developing their IT skills.


    • Plan, design, troubleshoot and manage network architecture and hardware.
      • Cisco ASA firewalls
      • Cisco switches & routers
      • Nexus OS – VPC’s, VLAN’s, and LAG’s.
      • Meraki wifi managing multiple SSID’s and VLAN’s
      • Clavister Firewalls
      • Internal & External routing protocols (eg. static routes, EIGRP, OSPF & BGP, route redistribution)
      • Layer 2 & 3 connections (eg. MPLS, IPSEC tunnels)
      • Managing and configuring ACL’s/NAT rules.
    • Work with Managed Service Providers to submit network change requests as needed
    • Assist team with troubleshooting VMware ESX hosts and VMs as needed
    • Experience with Campus and Datacenter network designs and High Availability.
    • Resolve trouble tickets in a timely fashion
    • Should be comfortable with basic public cloud concepts and able to establishing connectivity to VPC/VNETs as needed.
    • Work with internal IT teams as needed to manage 802.1X, MAB configuration for wired & wifi networks with Microsoft’s NPS servers.
    • Supporting a global network, with IP addressing, routing, and VLAN planning.


    • Knowledge of Cisco networking (eg. switching & routing), SSL VPN connections using Cisco’s Anyconnect.
    • Knowledge of servers such as Dell, HP and Cisco UCS.
    • Knowledge with F5 and HA Proxy Load balancers.
    • Knowledge of Netflow, syslog, SNMP configurations, and AAA Radius/LDAP authentication management.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, and DNS, VMware.
    • Detail oriented, organized, with ability to clearly communicate, work with others, and keep manager apprised of issues.
    • Ability to research issues, new technologies and effectively communicate findings.
    • Autonomous in nature and ability to propose new ideas 
    • 4+ yrs in a Network Admin/Engineer role
    • Must be able to lift 50lbs
