  • Overview

    The Solutions Marketing Manager will be part of a high-energy team that drives go-to-market strategy to accelerate bookings growth for Planview work and resource management (WRM) solutions and product lines. The Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for positioning and messaging, sales enablement, market intelligence and assisting with driving demand for the Planview solution for Lean and Agile Delivery. The Solutions Marketing Manager will evangelize the capabilities of the solution to the broader market across all audiences including prospects, sales, customers, consulting, analysts, and media.

    The Solutions Marketing Manager will be the expert on the Lean and Agile Delivery solution buyers globally, how they buy and their criteria and then transferring this knowledge to the sales channel and demand generation activities. Strong content development and writing, attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate product capabilities into value and benefits is crucial for this role.


    • Solution Positioning - elevate positioning and messaging that differentiates the Planview solutions in the market. Present both internally and externally to promote the story; as well as lead content development to communicate the message and value to a broader audience
    • Sales enablement – effectively communicate the value proposition to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process. Tools may include PowerPoint presentations, videos, competitor cheat sheets and customer success stories.
    • Market intelligence – be the expert on market trends and impact on customers and target buyers, buying criteria and process; also on competition and how to position against them.
    • Demand generation – work with the demand generation team to develop the strategy for marketing programs that drive demand for both solutions. Includes advising on the right campaign topics that will educate prospects and providing quality content to support these campaigns, such as whitepapers, eBooks, blogs and webinars. 


    • 5+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a field facing role
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering
    • Strong written communication and organizational skills 
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
    • Experience interacting with others across the organization, customers, partners, and industry analysts
    • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
    • Quick learner, ability to shift and work on multiple priorities concurrently
    • Experience with Agile and/or Lean processes 
    • Analytical skills – proficiency with Excel and Salesforce.com a plus
    • Experience with Scaling Agile or Lean methodologies is a plus
    • Some travel required 
    • Position is located in Austin, TX
