Overview

Planview is looking for a marketing automation and ops manager with a deep knowledge of marketing automation and the experience and skills to improve the marketing team’s contribution to pipeline and revenue. A strong background in lead generation programs, global email marketing best practices, and inbound marketing is required, along with experience improving marketing and sales alignment through continuous business process improvement.

This is a full-time, on-premise role at the company headquarters in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with Planview’s demand gen teams, build, implement, monitor and improve the company’s email marketing strategy, email test plans and automation plan development
  • Govern email/nurture strategy
  • Optimize email/nurture strategies by designing and deploying standardized nurture flows for prospects, customers, leads and opportunities that are aligned with Planview’s go-to-market strategies and sales plays
  • Manage the marketing database by creating targeted lists and segments
  • Maintain marketing database health and compliance with regulations including GDPR
  • Collaborate with other marketing teams to create emails, landing pages, forms, reports and other related infrastructure to support campaigns
  • Document and evangelize best practices and governance policies
  • Define and optimize key performance metrics and prepare relevant dashboards to share results across the team and report up to senior management
  • In collaboration with the CRO manager, develop and deploy a testing strategy to continuously optimize email and associated landing pages and forms
  • Manage components in the company’s martech stack including Marketo, Engagio, and Integrate
  • Collaborate with the Sales Ops team on the integration between Marketo and SalesForce

Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of experience in a relevant Marketing or Sales Operations role with a deep understanding of lead-to-revenue demand funnels and reporting (B2B experience preferred)
  • 8 or more years of marketing automation experience using Marketo, Eloqua or Pardot
  • 3 or more years as a Marketo Certified Expert
  • Additional Marketo specializations preferred:
    • Account-Based Marketing Specialist
    • Email Deliverability Specialist
    • Nurture & Engagement Specialist
    • Programs & Campaigns Specialist
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator status preferred
  • In-depth understanding of email deliverability requirements and processes
  • In-depth understanding of email and data privacy regulations in North America, EMEA, Australia and Mexico
  • Experience deploying and managing Engagio and Integrate orchestration platforms a plus
  • Excellent writing skills, especially copywriting for the B2B audience
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio diagramming (or similar workflow diagramming) experience
  • Demonstrated ability to execute multiple successful projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to train others in the use of Marketo and other marketing applications
  • Basic HTML and Photoshop skills
  • BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Science or equivalent.
